ALEX J. MANN is a writer and director who’s created original content for Participant Media, SundanceTV, Eko, Crypt TV and Disney.
He’s also the co-founder of Space Oddity, a content studio that creates horror content about technology, whose investors include Snap Inc.
Mann’s original short horror films have amassed millions of views, earned shares from Eli Roth, Adam Levine and Ashton Kutcher, and been featured on CNN, BuzzFeed and Esquire.
Gizmodo describes Mann’s work as “a mix between 2001: A Space Odyssey and Paranormal Activity.” Fast Company calls him “the Wes Craven of social media.” CNN says his films “underscore the fears apps instill in our lives.”
Currently, Mann is writing a sci-fi thriller feature film for Bazelevs (SEARCHING, UNFRIENDED) that he’s attached to direct, and developing an hour-long horror series for STX.
He lives in Los Angeles, which he captures in neon.
