ALEX J. MANN is a filmmaker and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles. He’s the co-founder and CEO of Space Oddity, a content studio that creates horror content about technology.
Gizmodo describes Mann’s work as “a mix between 2001: A Space Odyssey and Paranormal Activity.” Fast Company calls him “the Wes Craven of social media.” CNN says his films “underscore the fears apps instill in our lives.”
Mann’s films have amassed millions views across all platforms, earned shares from influencers such as Adam Levine and Ashton Kutcher, and received press from sites including CNN, BuzzFeed and Esquire.
Mann has created original content for Participant Media, SundanceTV, MTV, Funny or Die and Disney, and branded content for Amazon, Honda, Skype, VTech and SoFi.
Currently, Mann is writing a sci-fi thriller feature film for Bazelevs (UNFRIENDED, SEARCHING) that he’s attached to direct. He’s also a participant in Snap’s startup accelerator, Yellow, to build Space Oddity into the content studio of the future.
