Good comment. Nothing to add, except to say that the comment and your
digression itself are good examples of "the hunt."

I understand this sentiment. Everything in transit and the boredom that perhaps our generation suffers from that can only be cured through the pursuit of novelty and stimulation. I cannot help but feel depressed about how fleeting everything is. On one hand I crave moving around and have a fear of anything static. However, I have found permanence is underrated too and there is something to be said for consistency in life. This has left an unsettling void. But, I digress. An interesting book about this notion is Thomas Kohnstamm's "Do Travel Writers Go to Hell?" which is in the vein of Hunter S. Thompson.

Yes, but Chicago is awesome. Or, maybe it's only awesome because I haven't
spent any time there.

But, you should do all that stuff before you leave. At least having a
deadline of sorts will help you get to them.

You just wrote exactly what's been on my mind this past few days.

I came to Chicago in May. It was big, it was beautiful, the art and the food and the people were to die for.

It's now November. I spend 8 nights a week at home. I'm either cooking, working on my startup, or preparing for my next big move (I move out mid-to-late December, and my next destination starts in mid-January).

The city's starting to look old to me. There's so much I have yet to see, to visit, to experience... but if I *really* wanted to, I would have done it months ago. Right?

We are not alone, my friend.
